Working on architectural commissions provides me with the rewarding opportunity to collaborate artistically with the designs and visions of my clients. Exploring design opportunities can be an exciting process. Choices on details that either underpin or counterpoint an overriding theme or vision can bring a unique richness and further dimension to the finished product.
There are very few limits on the shapes and effects that I am able to achieve. Tools and jigs can be fashioned for specific pieces. Sections can be joined by handmade rivets, tennon joins or fire welding (as opposed to electric welding), giving each piece a character completely of its own.
Each commission, after design consultation, is scale drawn for client presentation and job costing. (see example drawings below)
